Frequently Asked Questions - FAQs

Eyelash Lift & Tint FAQ

Picture
Q: How long will it take?
A: Approximately 60 minutes from start to finish (cleanse, lift, tint).

Q: Does it hurt?
A: No — our technician uses gentle products and you are reclined comfortably with eyes closed throughout. You may feel a slight tingling when the lift solution is applied, but it is minimal.

Q: Will it damage my lashes?
A: When done properly by a trained technician, lash lifts are safe for healthy natural lashes. We always recommend a patch test if you have sensitive eyes, very sparse lashes, or recent eye surgery.

Q: How soon can I get wet or put makeup on?
A: We recommend avoiding water/steam on the lashes for about 24 hours, and avoiding oil-based eye creams or makeup removers right at the lash line for that period too.

Q: How often should I have this done?
A: Most clients return every 6-8 weeks when their natural lash growth/replacement cycle means the lift effect begins to fade.

Q: Can I do this if I have eyelash extensions?
A: We generally recommend removing extensions for 2-3 weeks and allowing natural lashes to recover before a lift/tint. Extensions adhere to the lash shaft and may interfere with the lifting process.

Q: What’s included?
A: The appointment includes full consultation, lash cleanse, lift treatment, tinting, and after-care advice. Your technician will also show you how to maintain the look between visits.

Sunless Tanning FAQ

Q: How should I prepare for my spray tan?
A: Exfoliate your skin 24 hours before your appointment to remove dry or dead skin. Avoid applying lotion, oils, deodorant, or perfume right before your session, as these can create barriers and affect how the tan develops.

Q: What should I wear to my appointment?
A: Wear dark, loose-fitting clothing and open-toed shoes or flip-flops. Avoid tight waistbands or bras immediately after your session to prevent rubbing or uneven marks.

Q: Can I wear makeup or deodorant?
A: It’s best to come with clean, bare skin — no makeup, deodorant, perfume, or moisturizer — to ensure an even, flawless tan.

Q: How long will my spray tan last?
A: Most tans last 7–10 days with proper care. Using a gentle body wash and keeping your skin moisturized will help extend the life of your tan.

Q: When can I shower after my spray tan?
A: Follow your technician’s instructions, but generally you should wait 8–12 hours before showering (or as directed for express solutions). Avoid soap and shampoo during the first rinse — just use lukewarm water.

Q: Will my spray tan stain my clothes or sheets?
A: Some cosmetic bronzer may transfer onto clothing or bedding, but it usually washes out easily. Wearing dark, loose clothing helps minimize this.

Q: How do I maintain my spray tan?
A: Moisturize daily with a tan-safe lotion, avoid exfoliating scrubs, and pat dry after showering instead of rubbing. Stay away from chlorine or salt water if possible, as they can fade your tan faster.

Q: Can I get a spray tan if I’m pregnant?
A: Yes, DHA (the active ingredient in spray tans) is FDA-approved for external use. However, if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your doctor first and let your technician know so they can ensure extra ventilation and comfort.

Q: Will a spray tan protect me from the sun?
A: No — spray tans do not contain SPF. Always wear sunscreen when you’re outdoors.

Q: How do I remove old spray tan?
A: A warm bath with gentle exfoliation, a loofah, or tan-remover mitt can help fade your tan evenly. Avoid harsh scrubbing or chemicals.
